Trump the Brat

I am going to be very serious in this post as I begin to explain my rationale as to why Donald Trump is undoubtedly the most dangerous candidate that has ever run for the Presidency of the United States of America.

The poor Republican Party has a rogue elephant running amok and they have no idea how to handle it.

Now, most modern politicians who aspire to the Presidency of this country go through a long and arduous path of public service to get there. The majority of those that have been elected President have served in Congress, as a State governor or as a national Senator. They have worked their way up the “corporate” ladder, so to speak, to have the bonafide credentials to hold the highest political office in this nation. They are literally trained to be a President. Their performance while in office is public record and available for scrutiny. We can know by their past actions, as elected officials of those high offices, what their stance may be on issues that will affect us nationally and internationally. Also their moral and ethical behavior while holding those positions has been paraded through the lime light by a ratings hungry media who will go to any length to bastardize a candidate. Most have paid their dues and have the right to put their name forth for consideration by competent voters. And the majority of the time we’re disappointed.

Then you have the Trump. Who is he really. Well, it’s safe to say he’s a television personality, he’s an investor, he’s a book author and a businessman, even a business magnate if you wish.  He’s never held any kind of political office I know of.

But he’s his own self made man, you say. No. His father was self-made millionaire and junior was fed all of his life from a silver spoon. Then, while going to college he worked for daddy’s company. No McDonalds working server job introduction to the poor kids working world for Trump. No I don’t have money for rent so I have to work 40 hours on top of a full college load to keep my scholarships problem for junior here. Then, after graduation from college, while a lot of graduates struggle to find a good job, junior went straight to work for daddy’s company. Two years later he then took over daddy’s company. So not only was he born with the silver spoon, he then inherited the silver bowl he was being fed from all of his life. See a picture beginning to form?

And the icing on the cake is he writes books on how to be the consummate businessman. Where his father built his fortune on real estate development, junior continued it developing his empire based on vice developing hotel casinos. Yep, that what you call gambling in a casino no matter how you cloak it. And you know what kind of unsavory characters he had to deal with to get into that business. And for the record, four of his companies have declared bankruptcy due to over leverage of these hotel casinos. Then he admittedly used the bankruptcy laws to preserve his financial position. Picture coming into focus now?

Let move on and chat about his loyalty. Trump was a Democrat until 1987. Then he decided to give the Republican Party a try. So from 1987 to 1999 he was a member of the grand old party. In 1999, he wasn’t getting what he wanted from the Republicans (i.e. a serious Presidential nod) so he joined the Reform Party.  He was with them from 1999 to 2001. Realizing that was a dead end he wandered back to the Democrats again looking for a handout presidential nod. Once again, from 2001-2009, no noogies so he took his little ball and went to play with the Republicans again. They were fun from 2009-2011 then getting no love declared himself an Independent from 2011-2012. Both parties breathed a sigh of relief. But that was lonely. Definitely no presidential future there so he looked over the upcoming candidates of the only two realistic political parties, saw the weakest and became a Republican again. And as of this week, bar any interludes, that’s who he’s playing ball with now. But wait, the Republican’s know he’s a rogue, and not wanting to give the devil his due he begins dropping pellets that if he doesn’t get their nomination, he’ll run as an Independent.  Picture really coming into sharper focus now, huh?

Do we even need to discuss his bullying personality. Watch a couple of episodes of his reality TV show “The Apprentice”. Explore how he attacks his political opposition in the debates, or through the media. His diplomacy skills are nonexistent. He has adult tantrums. This moron is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get his way. I am sure other megalomaniacs like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jung-Un or any other world leader is not going to be playing as a scripted contestant on The Apprentice to make junior look good. And the scariest part is this; there are voters out there who seriously want to put this guy in the White House, as the leader of the free world, in control of the most powerful armed services in history, and with his grimy fingers on the realistic buttons of nuclear weapons.

History is replete with men who have gathered financial power, then become egotistical megalomaniacs who go on to crave political power. I am reminded of a quote by Bertolt Brecht in his play The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui: ” Do not rejoice in his defeat you men. For though the world has stood up and stopped the bastard, the bitch that bore him is in heat again.”

Well, guess who’s coming to dinner.

I have just skimmed the surface on t

he life and times of Donald Trump, and already the peril bells, hazard whistles and jeopardy alarms are going off.  I say again that Donald Trump is the most dangerous man to ever run for the Presidency of this country. If the Republican Party buckles under, and Trump wins their nomination, then I sincerely hope the Democrats can put forth any Anti-Trump candidate to beat him and avoid, at least, four years of national turmoil and disaster.

Touch’e.
